1. O mistress of power and secure glory
Your spirit, the faithful, sings your virtues
١. رَبَّةَ الدَّوْلَةِ وَالجَاهِ المَكِينْ
عُدْتِ يَحْدُو رَكْبَكِ الرُّوحُ الأَمِينْ
2. You have returned in glorious splendor
With you the sea is tame and submissive
٢. عُدْتِ فِي مُنْشَأَةٍ مُعْتَزَّةٍ
بِكِ وَالبَحْرُ ذَلُولٌ مُسْتَكِينْ
3. It receives you gently in its chest
Greeting you left and right
٣. يَتَلَقَّاهَا بِرِفْقٍ صَدْرُهُ
وَيُحَيِّي عَنْ شِمَالٍ وَيَمِينْ
4. You are adorned with every honor
And you hold the highest flag on the ship
٤. قُلِّدَتْ مَا قُلِّدَتْ مِنْ شَرَفٍ
وَلَهَا أَعْلَى لِوَاءٍ فِي السَّفِينْ
5. In one moment, the two signs appeared
Of kindness and clear beauty
٥. بَسَمَ الأُفْقَيْنِ فِي آنٍ بَدَتْ
آيَتَا الإِحْسَانِ وَالحُسْنِ المُبِينْ
6. The sun of dawn emerged from its veil
And the crescent of Eid from the purest forehead
٦. بَزَغَتْ شَمْسُ الضُّحَى مِنْ سِتْرِهَا
وَهِلالُ العِيدِ مِنْ أَنْقَى جَبِينْ
7. Welcome to merit and nobility together
They have risen with blessings for those who await
٧. مَرْحَباً بِالفَضْلِ وَالنُّبْلِ مَعاً
طَلَعَا بِاليُمْنِ لِلْمُرْتَقِبِينْ
8. For you their finest adornments that you see
The earth wore its silks for her
٨. هَذِهِ جَنَّات مِصْرٍ أَبْرَزَتْ
لَكِ مِنْ زِينَتِهَا مَا تَشْهَدِينْ
9. Whom glory dressed among all lands
The trees offered their yields
٩. لَبِسَتْ سُنْدُسَهَا الأَرْضُ لِمَنْ
أَلْبَسَتْهَا الفَخْرُ بَيْنَ الأَرَضِينْ
10. As provisions for those who eat
The birds sang their praises
١٠. آتَتِ الأَشْجَارُ مَا اسْتَنْبَتَهَا
بِرُّهَا مِنْ أُكُلٍ لِلآكِلينْ
11. After praising God, Lord of all worlds
How lovely is their warbling in ardour
١١. شَدَتِ الأَطْيَارُ تَتْلُو حَمْدَهَا
بَعْدَ حَمْدِ الله رَبِّ العَالَمِينْ
12. After the plaints they echoed and moaned
Indeed a nation's hopes and desires
١٢. حَبَّذَا تَغْرِيدُهَا فِي جَذَلٍ
بَعْدَ شَجْوٍ رَدَّدَتْهُ وَأَنِينْ
13. Are truthful, not mere flattery
The Nile overflowed from its source
١٣. إِنَّ آمَالَ بِلادٍ وَمُنَى
أُمَّةٍ مُوحِيَةٌ مَا تَسْمَعِينْ
14. Stretching its arms to those who seek water
Bearing fertility and treasures
١٤. لَيْسَ فِيهِ مِنْ مُدَاجَاةٍ وَهَلْ
يَصْدُقُ الإِنْشَادُ وَالقَلْبُ يمينْ
15. Other than what it gives of gems
It has shed its high cost so much
١٥. فَاضَ مَجْرَى النِّيلِ مِنْ يَنْبُوعِهِ
بَاسِطاً أَذْرُعَهُ لِلْمُسْتَقِينْ
16. That it is normal for it to be called mud
It is above soil, meltable goodness
١٦. يَحْمِلُ الخِصْبَ وَمَا عُنْصُرُهُ
غَيْرُ مَا يُهْدِي مِنَ الكَنْزِ الثَّمِينْ
17. And for the irrigators a lasting spring
Your blessed return is a feast for the bereaved
١٧. أَرْخَصَ العَسْجَدَ حَتَّى إِنَّهُ
جَازَ فِي المَأْلُوفِ أَنْ يُسْمَى بِطِينْ
18. And for your family across the years
If only they could gather in one place
١٨. فَهْوَ فَوْقَ التُّرْبِ تِبْرٌ ذَائِبٌ
وَهْوَ للوُرَّادِ سَلْسَالٌ مَعِينْ
19. I would find them together as thousands and hundreds
That old love you have increased
١٩. عَوْدُكِ المَحْمُودُ عِيدٌ لِلْحِمَى
وَلأَهْلِيهِ عَلَى مَرِّ السِّنِينْ
20. With your lasting gifts day after day
Acts of kindness have united them
٢٠. لَوْ تَسَنَّى فِي مَكَانٍ وَاحِدٍ
جَمْعُهُمْ أَلْفَيْتِهِمْ مُجْتَمِعِينْ
21. Though apart they would differ
How could a people not love you purely
٢١. ذَلِكَ الوُدُّ قَديمٌ زَادَهُ
كُلَّ يَوْمٍ سَبَبٌ مِنْكِ مَتِينْ
22. When they owe you lifelong gratitude
You have increased their goodness by being
٢٢. مَكْرُمَاتٌ أَلَّفَتْ بَيْنَهُمُ
إِنْ يُرَوا فِي غَيْرِهَا مُخْتَلِفِينْ
23. An example for them in life and faith
Your grandfather suffered no shame from a lady
٢٣. كَيْفَ لا يُصْفِيكِ وُدّاً مَعْشَرٌ
لَكِ بِالشُّكْرِ عَلَى الدَّهْرِ مَدِينْ
24. Whose merit encompassed him at all times
If we counted those you brought joy
٢٤. زِدْتهِ بِرّاً بِأَنْ كُنْتِ لَهُ
نِعْمَةَ القُدْوَةُ فِي دُنْيَا وَدِينْ
25. We would number them in thousands and hundreds
Hands that left no place for sorrow
٢٥. لاَ كَبَا جَدُّكِ مِنْ سَيِّدَةٍ
فَضْلُهَا يَشْمَلُهُ فِي كُلِّ حِينْ
26. In any grieving heart they missed
You visited the suffering in their misery
٢٦. لَوْ عَدَدْنَا فِيهِ مَنْ أَسْعَدْتِهِ
لَعَدَدْنَاهُمْ أُلُوفاً وَمِئِينْ
27. And the mansions of kings sought your visit
How many shelters you built and established
٢٧. تُخْطِيءُ الحَصْرَ أَيَادٍ لَمْ تَدَعْ
مَوْضِعاً لِلْحُزْنِ فِي قَلْبٍ حَزِينْ
28. For orphaned and devastated children
And founded a home of knowledge that raised
٢٨. زَارَتِ الدَّهْمَاءَ فِي أَخْصَاضِها
وَاسْتَزَارَتْهَا قُصُورُ المَالِكِينْ
29. The best generation of girls and boys
O what lasting achievements all of them
٢٩. كَمْ بَنَتْ مَأْوىً وَشَادَتْ مَلْجَأً
لِلأَيَامَى وَاليَتَامَى البَائِسِينْ
30. Immortal in the memories of those who remember
Remain ever generous as time passes on
٣٠. وَأَقَامَتْ دَارَ عِلْمٍ نَشَّأَتْ
خَيْرَ جِيلٍ مِنْ بَنَاتٍ وَبَنِينْ
31. And may God honor the best benefactor
٣١. يَا لَهَا مِنْ مَأْثَرَاتٍ كُلُّهَا
خَالِدٌ فِي ذِكْرَيَاتِ الذَّاكِرِينْ
٣٢. دُمْتِ لِلإِحْسَانِ مَا طَالَ المَدَى
وَأَعَزَّ اللهُ أُمَّ المُحْسِنِينْ
