Illuminating with its bright smile.

6. No similar metal in conveying it
From a metal originally shining.

Adorned appearances with this distinguished crown.

8. Resolve and determination fill his awe,
And the virtuous, gentle heart's merits.

9. A man I saw the era's ordeals weary,
While people waver between disbelief and belief.

10. He mastered them after tribulation, though there was
No hope for other than a seasoned veteran.

11. O you whose determination adorned this resolve,
And beautified the dwellings with brilliance and splendor.

12. Congratulations on the robe of eternity you wore,
And wear ever new creations while you live and originate.

13. And settle for long ages with satisfaction in what
You attained of this beautiful, graceful perfection.

14. You competed with Westerners in their own arena,
And showed what Easterners can accomplish.

15. And you raised the banner of youth in Lebanon
From his people, ahead in every field.

16. It is a country sincerity of purpose built,
How many signs if sincerity is believed?

17. Surrounded by gardens and bounty within it,
What is left for an ascetic or devout?

18. A free living, and the breeze is fragrant
In its air, and untainted roses.

19. Modesty's charms spread around it
Variously, and to beholders they converge.

20. In every vista for the beholder arranged
Amazingly, and not arranged.

21. He who missed seeing it has not ceased
Yearning for it with his longing heart.
