1. O you whose spirit comes, while my soul follows,
Wandering in the throes of pain,
١. يَا مَنْ نَأَتْ وَالرُّوحُ فِي إِثْرِهَا
هَائِمَةٌ مِنْ نَزَوَاتِ الأَلَمْ
2. Do not deny the spirits a kiss -
Perhaps my soul is one of those breaths.
٢. لا تَمْنَعِي الأَرْوَاحِ مِنْ قُبْلَةٍ
لَعَلَّ رُوحِي بَعْضُ تِلْكَ النَّسَمْ
