1. The clatter of hoofs resounds loud,
And birds circle warily overhead,

ู ุงูุฃูุดุงุญูู
ู ุชูุตุฏูุญู
ููุทูุฑู ุจูุฃูุฌูุงุฒู ุญููุงุฐูุฑู ูููููุญู
2. As she walks like a shy young camel,
Too proud to be led by the short-legged driver.
ูข. ููุฅูุฐ ูููู ููุงูุจููุฑู ุงูููุฌุงูู ุฅูุฐุง ู
ูุดูุช
ุฃูุจู ูุง ููู
ุงุดููุง ุงูููุตุงุฑ ุงูุฏุฑุงุฏูุญู
3. Or like the tall, slender date palms,
Swaying as the gentle breeze plays with them.

ุจูุฎููุณููู ููุฒููุชูู ุงูุตูุจุง ุงูู

4. By my life! What Ibn 'Urwah possesses
Is but a trifle compared to what his people have.

5. His shadow does not shrink from them,
Nor do the mounts of Abu Bakr need to be protected and wiped down.

6. A brightener of every litter, with no beggar or whiner near him,
A youth who spared me what had worried me,

ุงูุฉู
ูููุง ุณุงุฆูู ูููุง ูููุง ู
ูุชูููุญููุญู
7. And I was left helpless before his onslaught.
I entice those behind him with gifts, the last being the foundations of a country home,

8. The leader of the caravan, who suffices them with his generosity and is self-sufficient.
In life he outshines the bright-faced youthsโresplendent!
