1. Her foot will be freed after the guarantee
And the one she loves will come with his path cleared
١. سَتَبرَأُ مِن بُعدِ الضَمانَةِ رِجلُها
وَتَأتي الَّذي تَهوى مُخَلّى طَريقُها
2. Woe to me if I don't meet her gifts of beauty
Even if all she has is a rooster to lead her
٢. عَلَيَّ هَدايا البُدنِ إِن لَم أُلاقِها
وَإِن لَم يَكُن إِلّا فُدَيكٌ يَسوقُها
3. A rooster protects her from me out of ignorance
Though she has lost her helmet and armor
٣. يُحَصِّنُها مِنّي فُدَيكٌ سَفاهَةً
وَقَد ذَهَبَت فيها الكُباسُ وَحوقُها
4. They make her taste some fire whenever
She sees a handsome youth of Bani Kaab please her
٤. تُذيقونَها شَيئاً مِنَ النارِ كُلَّما
رَأَت مِن بَني كَعبٍ غُلاماً يَروقُها
