١. كَأَنَّ مَدامَةً مِن خَمرِ دَنٍّ
تُصَبُّ عَلى ثَناياها طُروقا
2. The sweetest of people in talk
and most pleasing on waking from sleep,
٢. أَلَذُّ الناسِ في الدُنيا حَديثاً
وَأَطيَبُهُ بُعَيدَ النَومِ ريقا
3. I am made your ransom from death
though you charge what I cannot pay.
٣. جُعِلتُ لَكِ الفِداءَ مِنَ المَنايا
وَإِن كَلَّفتِني ما لَن أُطيقا
