I found the south wind fragrant.
١. إِذا ما الريحُ نَحوَ الأَثلِ هَبَّت
وَجَدتُ الريحَ طَيِّبَةً جَنوبا
2. So what prevents the souls from flowing
With the wind of Umm 'Amr that brings sweet scent?
٢. فَماذا يَمنَعُ الأَرواحَ تَسري
بِرَيّا أُمِّ عَمروٍ أَن تَطيبا
3. Are you not endowed with beauty of nature
As you wished, spared from faults?
٣. أَلَيسَت أُعطِيَت في حُسنِ خَلقٍ
كَما شاءَت وَجُنِّبتِ العُيوبا
