وأحور معشوق الدلال مهفهف

1. And I converse with the darling of my heart's desire, fanned by the breeze,
Who turns to the lovers the batting of an eye languid and tender,

١. وَأَحوَرَ مَعشوقِ الدَّلالِ مُهَفهَفٍ
يُديرُ إِلى العُشَّاقِ مُقلَةَ ريمِ

2. Captivating me with a cheek like the morning light, radiant and pure
And the curve of a temple dusky as the dark night, dim and obscure

٢. سَباني بِخَدٍ كالصَّباحِ مُنَوَّرٍ
وَعَطفَةِ صُدغٍ كالظَلامِ بَهيمِ
