1. I see the clouds' water-bearer has made the twigs drunk,
And the garden of the sky has blossomed with meteors.

2. It gave it a draft of pure wine from the pouring rain,
So it swayed, bending in ecstasy with wonder.

3. And the leaves of doves sang to it at dawn,
So none of its complaints to the suffering heart remained.

4. It whispers in the bosom of meadows its murmur,
And complains of the zephyrs that stir it at dawn.

5. It returns melodies in the rhythms of its twigs,
Relating the tears of the eye in its drifting clouds.

6. A night breeze blew in the flower bed,
Passing by, bursting through its thickness.

7. It dragged its train on the dunes,
Its cool breath perfumed the horizon and the soil.

8. We said: The scent of the Prophet has passed through it,
Else, what is this alertness that blew in it?

9. A noble prophet, exalted is his value,
His glory surpassed, as the non-Arabs and Arabs vie to eulogize him.

10. The sun and moons yield to his awe,
Why not, as that light rent veils apart?

11. The fragrance of his praise has scented the horizons,
As his signs enveloped East and West alike.

12. To every possessor of glory, pride, and high rank,
For what he attained of noble virtues he is most worthy.

13. The souls of the wise were perplexed with love of him,
So they became passionate for him and submissive in their love.

14. He is naturally kind and generous,
Whoever meets him finds affability and vastness.

15. We alighted near the Hashimite Muhammad,
So through him we attained nearness and favor from our Lord.

16. His supreme glory transcended every messenger,
Without doubt or suspicion in his supremacy.

17. Yearning for him cured me, euphoric,
So for God, my tears poured down my cheeks in my fervor.

18. With firm covenants to the riding-beasts,
If they should lead me to that sweet halt.

19. I will kiss their cheekbones and their resting places,
And replace their barren livelihood with fertility.

20. O morning breeze, from the direction of their lands,
My heart is refreshed and vitalized by your tidings.

21. Perhaps the good tidings of mankind from a blessed land
Will mend a heart torn apart by separation's plunder.

22. In the shade of their love our souls find song,
And in their neighborhood revive souls dried of sap.

23. Every ailing soul they restored beyond hope
Seeks a cure in the field of loved ones.

24. My covenant and love for them remains,
My tongue moist with my praise and thanks to them.

25. Upon them, God's peace, for as long as the lovesick
Yearn for them, spur on the journey, and seek the company of riders.
