1. To the abode of nobility, hasten the mounts
And for the sublime ambition, shorten the distances

2. O you who pretend love yet betray
For how long will you remain absent from the waist of glory?

3. You used to devote your youth to loved ones
But today I see you shunning them

4. To precious Tabuk, where the pinnacle's tents are pitched
Urge the steeds of resolve to grant wishes

5. At the tomb of the Hashemite Muhammad
You will attain your hopes and reap rewards

6. Life passed, you gained no soft beauty
Nor fulfilled for yourself any duty in its prime

7. So you died longing
Sighing in sorrow as tears flowed

8. And the meaning called, directing between us
Arrows to the hearts' beloved targets

9. It cast away a heart, the hand of passion
So it circled through conditions, wandering

10. It came not to his abode as you wished
Oh what sorrow drove it to calamities!

11. And how much it hoped to draw near, but resolve breaks
Who can overcome what Allah decrees?

12. O best of Allah's creation, I call upon you hopeful
One who hopes in you will not return disappointed

13. If my sin takes me far from your tomb
Though I erred, I came to you repentant

14. Hopefully for me you will intercede on Judgement Day
For in praising you I have asked for pardon

15. I remain praising the family of Muhammad
And his noble companions, distinguishing ranks

16. Upon them, Allah's peace, as long as a love-crazed poet
Pines, and as long as an ardent critic censures
