1. Oh one whom my tongue cannot adequately thank
Nor can it rise to describe your great kindness
١. أَيا مَن لِساني لا يَقومُ بِشُكرِه
وَلا فيهِ ما يَرقى إِلى وَصفِ بَرِّه
2. You rejoice in this feast, jewel of its crown
And clasp that binds the necklace over its throat
٢. تَهَنَّ بِعيدٍ أَنتَ دُرَّةُ تاجِه
وَواسِطَةُ العِقدِ الَّذي فَوقَ نَحرِه
3. You who, when my eyes come to you thirsty
Quench them from the water of your cheer
٣. فَأَنتَ الَّذي إِن جاءَ طَرفِيَ ظامِئاً
إِلى وَجهِهِ رَوّاهُ مِن ماءِ بِشرِه
