1. The servant has succeeded who turned away
From idle sport out of love for his Lord,
١. قَد أَفلَحَ العَبدُ الَّذي مالَهُ
بِاللَهوِ عَن سَيِّدِهِ شُغلُ
2. Though if he displeased Him that would grieve him sore,
To win His pleasure has raised him high.
٢. عَزَّ بِأَن أَرضاهُ عَنهُ وَلَو
أَسخَطَهُ حَلَّ بِهِ الذُلُّ
