1. Pearls of dew and pearls of meadows,
And leaves that are drinking cups, and aromatic basil,
١. دُرّانِ دُرُّ نَدىً وَدُرُّ أَقاحي
وَلُجَينُ كاساتٍ وَعَسجَدُ راحِ
2. And the songs of birds that trill all
The melodies they've fashioned with their throats.
٢. وَغِناءُ أَطيارٍ تُرَندَجُ كُلَّ ما
صاغَتهُ مِن نَغَماتِها بِسَجاحِ
3. So spare me the blame of your hearing, and do not
Strike the fault-finders with the wine cups.
٣. فَاِمنَع مَلامَكَ مِن أَذى سَمعي وَلا
تَقَدَح عَلى اللُوّامِ في الأَقداحِ
4. For I am impetuous, and I don't think you're able
With the force of your blame to restrain my wings.
٤. فَأَنا الجَموحُ وَما أَظُنُّكَ قادِراً
بِقُوى مَلامِكَ أَن تُرَدَّ جَماحي
