1. O full moon whose greeting is perfect,
And whose gift is a flowering branch,
١. يا بَدرَ تَمٍّ مُحَيّاهُ تَحِيَّتُهُ
وَغُصنَ بانٍ تُهاديهِ هَدِيَّتُهُ
2. Anger has charged me as an obstinate adversary,
With youthful follies not yet undone,
٢. قَد وَكَّلَ السَخطُ بي خَصماً يُلازِمُني
مِنَ الصَبابَةِ ما تَنحَلُّ عُقدَتُهُ
3. If you would make contentment the judge between us,
I would be the first to obey him.
٣. فَإِن جَعَلتَ الرِضا ما بَينَنا حِكماً
أَولا فَإِنِّيَ مِمَّن سَوفَ يُعنِتُهُ
