Trying to resemble me
١. أَبو إِسحاقَ في تَعَبٍ
يُحاوِلُ اَن يُشَبَّهَ بي
2. And is there anyone among people
Who compares the head to the tail
٢. وَهَل في الناسِ مِن أَحَدٍ
يَقيسُ الرَأسَ بِالذَنَبِ
3. So delusion does not take him away
For gold is not like amber
٣. فَلا يَذهَبُ بِهِ هَوَسٌ
فَلَيسَ الصَفرُ كَالذَهَبِ
