1. Behold, many a slender one has a gait
That erects a resurrection amidst the branches,
2. He wanders with a moving flank
And sways with a waist abounding in stillness.
3. Handsome of build, eloquent of tongue,
Of strange songs, of wondrous melodies,
4. We called him one day to join us
That we may delight in those arts,
5. But when his face appeared to us
We plundered its beauties with glances.
