1. A friend whose virtues I can't count,
When settled in a land, attains his goal.
١. وَصاحِب لِيَ ما تُحصى فَضائِلُهُ
إِذا أَقامَ بِأَرضٍ سارَ نائِلُهُ
2. His good deeds spread wherever he alights,
Mounts bear him with no fear of obstacles.
٢. يَغشى بِمَعروفِهِ المَعروفِ حَيثُ سَرَت
بِهِ الرِكابُ وَلا تُخشى غَوائِلُهُ
3. When grace and charm adorn a gathering,
Smiles light his face, enhancing the scene.
٣. إِذا الشَمولُ زَهَت يَوماً بِرِقَّتِها
في مَجلِسٍ ضَحِكَت مِنها شَمائِلُهُ
