1. And a woman cries though they did not intend
To shed tears after all; so why shed tears now in vain?
١. وَقائِلَةٍ تَبكي وَما بَعدُ أَزمَعوا
عَلامَ وَفي الدَمعِ الَّذي فاضَ مَقنَعُ
2. I said to one who had brought about my death,
"I did not expect this from you."
٢. فَقُلتُ لِبَينٍ قَد أَقامَ قِيامَتي
وَما كانَ لَكِنّي لَهُ أَتَوَقَّعُ
