1. O you who ask about the origin of what you see here
Of silver and walking sticks that are mine
١. يا سائِلي عَن أَصلِ ما قَد رَأى
مِن فَضَّةٍ عِندي وَعِقيانِ
2. I had no money, but I asked my Master
And He granted me (these gifts benign)
٢. لَم يَكُ لي مالٌ وَلَكِنَّني
سَأَلتُ مَولايَ فَأَعطاني
