1. Spring donned its grass garment on the island
From basil to mint
١. لَبِسَ الرَبيعُ عَلى الجَزيرَةِ عُشبَهُ
ما بَينَ رَيحانٍ إِلى نَمّامِ
2. So the two seas seemed when they left it dry
To have clad their brightness in darkness
٢. فَكَأَنَّما البَحرانِ إِذ جَفّا بِها
صُبحانِ حُفَّ سَناهُما بِظَلامِ
