1. The Pleiades appeared, and stars surround them,
The sky between darkness and mist.
١. بَدَت الثُرَيّا وَالنُجومُ تَحُفُّها
وَالجَوُّ بَينَ غَياهِبٍ وَدَياجي
2. As if it were a map of silver,
As if it were tusks of ivory.
٢. فَكَأَنَّما هَذي خَريطَةُ فَضَّةٍ
وَكَأَنَّما هَذي بَنادِقُ عاجِ
