1. I saw how his glances began to gesture,
The delicate eyelash, so charming,

2. Tracing the line of his enamored eyelid,
And the conscience found peace reading it.

3. In the apples of cheeks of fantasy,
Lines shone through the down,

4. So the parchment of good tidings smiled at him,
And the harbinger adorned it.

5. It greeted a day that almost dripped,
With its abundant joy,

6. And turned a shining blade that reveals,
Like his cheek, the full moon.

7. Welcome! The spittle almost fell,
As if it were the shining moon,

8. An eyelash, if it touches the eyelids,
Then the heart of its lover breaks.

9. And the eyelid is the quickest to fall,
The next morning, broken by languor.

10. The waist of a gazelle revives and kills,
In its subtle movements the souls perish.

11. O ignorant one, the news of the glances,
Only the wise understands it.

12. Why have you not fallen upon the expert,
With her inspiration? I am the expert!

13. Faces are like glass,
Through them matters become clear,

14. And they reveal what is behind them,
So through them His signs always appear.

15. And when hearts correspond,
The glances are their envoys.

16. In a dream I visited you,
So fantasies were the deceiving visitor.

17. I invoked blessing upon you,
And for others, serious effort.

18. I loved you with an aura,
In which stars were intimate.

19. It is a paradise, but its sealed wine,
Are maidens of paradise.

20. Among the cheeks, and I do not declare,
The name of her who contained the cheeks.

21. White, complexioned with love,
Her virtue witnessed by the screens.

22. Entrap me, huntress of hearts,
And she whose snares are passions.

23. From her earrings to her mole,
A garden, the youth its stream.

24. And both cheeks are sisters,
The water of youth their brook.

25. How to reach her intoxicated cheek,
When her jealousy is guarding her?

26. Blame the virgin, who said,
“For youth there is no excuse.”

27. Let not the coquetry deceive you,
Its source is the deceitful world.

28. And love cannot control a heart,
For it is a tyrannical sultan.

29. How many enamored ones your glances have judged,
To languish and pine.

30. Then she bent, and her breast contained,
His breath, and his sigh.

31. I swear by the hands of archers,
Aiming for the necks they lead!

32. The generous are few, but by you,
Their few are many.

33. For every era there is a first,
Of them for your first a last.

34. Some strive for other than deeds,
Honor does not come to you without effort.

35. For glory you all take turns,
So good fortune revolves around you.

36. And the pleasure of sipping the joy of bliss,
Will always be your boon companion.

37. The stringing of poems succeeded,
For the destination has been reached by you.

38. Remove the veil, for here,
Is the meadow of early rising and streams.

39. And of rhymes, pluck open
A blossom by which eras thrive.

40. It remains, as the sublime desired,
Evergreen, courted by times.

41. Glory to Him who took His Servant by night,
From the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque.

42. His determination carried him, and that,
Is Al-Buraq by which he flew.

43. He traveled to the Hajj, and whoever saw,
A shrine, to a pillar he walked.

44. So the whole earth testifies,
You are the pouring rain.

45. You have lived the most delightful life,
As if the rising of his face were the shining moon.

46. Neither eagle flew to it, nor
Did the Sirius star cross it.

47. Chirp the notes of others,
For by this qualified one they trill.
