ุญุฑุงู…ูŒ ุจุบูŠุฑ ุงู„ู…ูุฑู‡ูุงุชู ุนุชุงุจูู‡ุง

2. It was the first wound whose disease spread
Through the intestines until its lesions could not be healed.

ูข. ู‡ูŠ ุงู„ู‚ูุฑุญุฉู ุงู„ุฃููˆู„ู‰ ุงู„ุชูŠ ู…ุถู‘ูŽ ุฏุงุคู‡ุง
ุจุฃุญุดุงูƒู ุญุชู‘ูŽู‰ ู„ูŠุณ ูŠุจุฑู‰ ุงู†ุดุนุงุจูู‡ุง

3. It pained the hearts with its sting,
The sting of lethal scorpions followed by their crawling.

ุนู‚ุงุฑุจู ุถูุบู† ุฃุนู‚ุจูŽุชู‡ุง ุฏุจุงุจู‡ุง

4. To this day its poison spews out from you a burning blaze,
Its needle pierced through its veil.

ูค. ุฅู„ู‰ ุงู„ุขู† ูŠูŽุจุฑู‰ ุณู…ู‘ูู‡ุง ู…ู†ูƒู ู…ู‡ุฌุฉู‹
ุจุฅุจุฑุชูู‡ุง ู‚ุฏ ุดูู‚ู‘ูŽ ุนู†ู‡ุง ุญูุฌุงุจู‡ุง

5. It was as if none had withstood it except in opposition,
Its life limited to its destruction.

ูฅ. ูƒุฃู† ู„ู… ูŠูƒู† ุถุฏู‘ู‹ุง ุณูˆุงู‡ ู…ู‚ุงูˆูู…ุงู‹
ุญูŠุงุชูŽูƒู ู…ู‚ุตูˆุฑุงู‹ ุนู„ูŠู‡ุง ุฐูู‡ุงุจูู‡ุง

6. Treachery belonged to it, it did not save the souls of its people
So their necks were twisted to whoever governed over them.

7. It never believed in the Book for a day,
So it feared the One who enumerates its records against it.

ูุชุฎุดู‰ ุงู„ุฐูŠ ูŠูŽุญุตูŠ ุนู„ูŠู‡ุง ูƒุชุงุจูู‡ุง

8. It did not believe in God, and so there did not remain in existence,
With the authority of the Leader of the Faithful, its discourse.

ุจุฅูู…ุฑุฉู ู…ูˆู„ู‰ ุงู„ู…ูุคู…ู†ูŠู† ุฎูุทุงุจู‡ุง

9. It climbed over the pillars of the Messenger for an oath of allegiance
Through which sins heavily burdened it.

ูฉ. ุนู„ุชู’ ููˆู‚ ุฃุนูˆุงุฏู ุงู„ุฑุณูˆู„ ู„ุจูŠุนุฉู
ุจู‡ุง ู…ูู† ุซู‚ูŠู„ ุงู„ูˆุฒุฑ ุทุงู„ ุงุญุชู‚ุงุจู‡ุง

10. It turns its fingers between the Muslims,
Showing you how it turned away from Islam.

ูกู . ุชูู‚ู„ู‘ูุจ ุจูŠู† ุงู„ู…ุณู„ู…ูŠู† ุฃู†ุงู…ู„ุงู‹
ุชูุฑูŠูƒูŽ ุนู† ุงู„ุฅูุณู„ุงู… ูƒูŠู ุงู†ู‚ู„ุงุจูู‡ุง

11. Reconsider the caliphateโ€”who is more deserving
That it adorns him with its clothes?

ูกูก. ุฃุนุฏู’ ู†ุธุฑุงู‹ ู†ุญูˆ ุงู„ุฎู„ุงูุฉ ุฃูŠู‘ู…ุง
ุฃุญู‚ู‘ู ุจุฃู† ุชุถููˆ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ุซูŠุงุจู‡ุง

12. Is it he who was as the Prophet's own soul, or she
For whom he was an illness which her approaching only worsened?

ูกูข. ุฃูŽู…ู† ู‡ูˆ ู†ูุณูŒ ู„ู„ู†ุจูŠ ุฃู… ุงู„ุชูŠ
ู„ู‡ ูƒุงู† ุฏุงุกุงู‹ ุณูู„ู…ูู‡ุง ูˆุงู‚ุชุฑุงุจู‡ุง

13. And who repelled the enemies from him, or she whom
The enemies repelled into the darkness of her crawling?

ูกูฃ. ูˆู…ู† ุฏุญุฑุฌูŽ ุงู„ุฃุนุฏุงุกูŽ ุนู†ู‡ ุฃู… ุงู„ุชูŠ
ู„ู‡ ุฏูุญุฑุฌุช ุชุญุชูŽ ุงู„ุธู„ุงู…ู ุฏูุจุงุจูู‡ุง

14. They claim by consensus that its affair was undertakenโ€”
The insignificant Banu Umayyah, to dispel doubts about it!

15. And is there any path to proper guidance that remains
When the gate to the City of God's Knowledge is blocked against it?

ูกูฅ. ูˆู‡ู„ ู…ูŽุฏุฎู„ุงู‹ ู„ู„ุฑูุดุฏ ุฃุจู‚ู‰ ูˆููŠู‡ ู…ูู†
ู…ุฏูŠู†ุฉู ุนูู„ู… ุงู„ู„ู‡ ู‚ุฏ ุณูุฏู‘ูŽ ุจุงุจู‡ุง

16. Rather, it turned away from the cloak of knowledge and followed
One filled with every disgrace and fault.

ูกูฆ. ุจูŽู„ู‰ ุนุฏูู„ุชู’ ุนู† ุนูŽูŠุจุฉู ุงู„ุนูู„ู… ูˆุงู‚ุชุฏุช
ุจู…ู† ู…ูู„ุฆุช ู…ู† ูƒู„ ุนูŠุจู ุนูŠุงุจู‡ุง

17. Had he not been a servant of God, it would not have attained
Even a sip of what its dogs have worn.

ูˆู„ุง ู„ุนู‚ุฉู‹ ู…ู…ู‘ูŽุง ุชุญู„ู‘ูŽุช ูƒู„ุงุจู‡ุง

18. So by God, how its misguided assembly on the day of its affliction
Dragged its guides when its calamity befell!

ุนู„ู‰ ู…ุฑุดุฏูŠู‡ุง ูŠูˆู…ูŽ ุฌูŽู„ู‘ูŽ ู…ูุตุงุจู‡ุง

19. Through it, they forcibly usurped Ahmad's kingdom
With the palms of enemies, and its usurpation endured.

20. To the point that the Umayyads took control of the matter,
And the veil of misguidance was stripped from its face.

ูุฃูŽุณูุฑูŽ ุนู† ูˆุฌู‡ู ุงู„ุถู‘ูŽู„ุงู„ู ู†ู‚ุงุจู‡ุง

21. It manifested the resentments of Ignorance after
Fear of Islam had prolonged its isolation.

ูขูก. ูˆุฃุจุฏุช ุญู‚ูˆุฏูŽ ุงู„ุฌุงู‡ู„ูŠุฉ ุจุนุฏ ู…ุง
ู„ุฎูˆูู ู…ู† ุงู„ุฅูุณู„ุงู… ุทุงู„ ุงุญุชุฌุงุจู‡ุง

22. It unsheathed swords that God has forever blunted their sharpness,
Until the blood of the guided became its drink.

ูขูข. ูˆุณู„ู‘ูŽุช ุณูŠูˆูุงู‹ ุฃูŽุธู…ุฃูŽ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุญุฏู‘ูŽู‡ุง
ูุฃูŽุถุญู‰ ุฅู„ู‰ ุฏู…ู ุงู„ู‡ุงุฏูŠู† ูˆู‡ูˆ ุดูŽุฑุงุจู‡ุง

23. Say to Nuzrโ€”ready the horses, for
They yearn for the strike of lances.

ูขูฃ. ูู‚ู„ ู„ูู†ุฒุงุฑู ุณูˆู‘ูู…ูŠ ุงู„ุฎูŠู„ ุฅู†ู‘ูŽู‡ุง
ุชุญู†ู‘ู ุฅู„ู‰ ูƒุฑู‘ู ุงู„ุทูุฑุงุฏ ุนูุฑุงุจูู‡ุง

24. For them, if the land grants you its plains one day,
Its dust will settle behind the galloping horses.

ูขูค. ู„ู‡ุง ุฅู† ูˆู‡ุจุชู ุงู„ุฃุฑุถ ูŠูˆู…ุงู‹ ุฃูŽุฑูŽุชูƒูู‡ุง
ู‚ุฏ ุงู†ุญุทู‘ูŽ ุฎู„ููŽ ุงู„ุฎุงููู‚ูŠู†ู ุชุฑุงุจู‡ุง

25. Tasting the bitterness of estrangement is forbidden to your eyes,
For the nights of anxiety have prolonged their count.

ูขูฅ. ุญุฑุงู…ูŒ ุนู„ู‰ ุนูŠู†ูŠูƒู ู…ุถู…ุถุฉู ุงู„ูƒูŽุฑู‰
ูุฅู†ู‘ูŽ ู„ูŽูŠุงู„ูŠ ุงู„ู‡ู…ู‘ู ุทุงู„ ุญุณุงุจู‡ุง

26. Thus no sleep until war ignites from you
With a blaze whose flames it kindles.

ูขูฆ. ูู„ุง ู†ูˆู…ูŽ ุญุชู‘ูŽู‰ ุชูˆู‚ูŽุฏ ุงู„ุญุฑุจ ู…ู†ูƒูู…
ุจู…ู„ู…ูˆู…ุฉู ุดู‡ุจุงุก ูŠูุฐูƒูŠ ุดู‡ุงุจู‡ุง

27. It takes turns drinking with the mouths of wolves from the Umayyads
A draft of morning dewโ€”and their heads are stones.

ูขูง. ุชูŽุณุงู‚ู‰ ุจุฃููˆุงู‡ู ุงู„ุถูุจุง ู…ูู† ุฃูู…ูŠู‘ูŽุฉู
ู…ูุฏุงู… ู†ุฌูŠุนู ูˆุงู„ุฑูุคุณ ุญูุจุงุจู‡ุง

28. In their hands, the wolves and their cubs
Swoop down upon the chests of heroes.

ูขูจ. ูƒุฃู†ู‘ูŽ ุจุฃูŠุฏูŠู‡ุง ุงู„ุถูุจุง ูˆุจู†ูˆุฏูู‡ุง
ุฅู„ู‰ ู…ู‡ุฌ ุงู„ุฃุจุทุงู„ู ุชูŽู‡ูˆูŠ ุญูุฑุงุจู‡ุง

29. The young of death in the meadows, in their softness
Have picked off the love of heartsโ€”its eagles.

ูขูฉ. ููุฑุงุฎู ุงู„ู…ู†ุงูŠุง ููŠ ุงู„ูˆูƒูˆุฑ ู„ุฑูู‚ู‘ูู‡ุง
ู‚ุฏ ุงู„ุชู‚ูŽุทุช ุญุจู‘ูŽ ุงู„ู‚ู„ูˆุจู ุนู‚ุงุจูู‡ุง

30. I wonder at youโ€”why do your souls not rage
And why do the heartache-stricken not retch?

ูฃู . ุนูŽุฌุจุชู ู„ูƒู… ุฃู† ู„ุง ุชุฌูŠุด ู†ููˆุณูƒู…
ูˆุฃูŽู† ู„ุง ูŠู‚ูŠุฆูŽ ุงู„ู…ุฑู‡ูุงุชู ู‚ูุฑุงุจู‡ุง

31. Buzzing flies over the guided leaderโ€™s pulpit.
You have slumbered while it seeks vengeance

ูฃูก. ูˆู‡ุฐูŠ ุจู†ูˆ ุนูŽุตู‘ูŽุงุฑุฉ ุงู„ุฎู…ุฑู ุฃุตุจุญุช
ุนู„ู‰ ู…ูู†ุจุฑ ุงู„ู‡ุงุฏูŠ ูŠูŽุทู†ู‘ู ุฐูุจุงุจู‡ุง

32. Until the ancient hatred is appeased through its seekers.
They have shed from themselves the black mourning garb they once wore

ูฃูข. ุฑูŽู‚ุฏุชู ูˆู‡ุจู‘ูŽุช ู…ู†ูƒู ุชุทู„ุจู ูˆูุชุฑู‡ุง
ุฅู„ู‰ ุฃู† ุดูŽูู‰ ุงู„ุญูู‚ุฏ ุงู„ู‚ุฏูŠู… ุทูู„ุงุจูู‡ุง

33. And dawned red from your blood their clothes.
Is it that every day the breast of Ibn Ghaba

ูฃูฃ. ู†ูŽุถุช ู…ูู† ุณูˆุงุฏ ุงู„ุซู‘ููƒู„ ู…ุง ู‚ุฏ ูƒุณูˆุชู‡ุง
ูˆุฃุตุจุญู†ูŽ ุญูู…ุฑุงู‹ ู…ู† ุฏูู…ุงูƒู ุซูŠุงุจู‡ุง

34. Has clawing beasts settled on it?
His conquests tear apart the viscera of the Imamate,

ูฃูค. ุฃูŽููŠ ูƒู„ู‘ู ูŠูˆู…ู ู…ู†ูƒู ุตุฏุฑู ุงุจู† ุบุงุจุฉู
ุชูŽุจูŠุช ุนู„ูŠู‡ู ุฑุงุจุถุงุชู ุฐูŠุงุจู‡ุง

35. Stubbornly, and his fangs bloodily bite it.
By God, how impotent are its enfeebled ones,

ูฃูฅ. ูŠูู…ุฒู‘ูู‚ ุฃูŽุญุดุงุกูŽ ุงู„ุฅูู…ุงู…ุฉู ุธููุฑู‡ุง
ุนูู†ุงุฏุงู‹ ูˆูŠูุฏู…ู‰ ู…ู† ุฏู… ุงู„ูˆุญูŠ ู†ุงุจูู‡ุง

36. And my oathโ€”their matter is most distressing!
It is as if your swords were not of solid rock

ูฃูฆ. ู„ูƒู ุงู„ู„ู‡ ู…ู† ู…ูˆุชูˆุฑุฉู ู‡ุงู†ูŽ ุบูŽู„ุจูู‡ุง
ูˆุนู‡ุฏูŠ ุจู‡ุง ุตูŽุนุจ ุงู„ู…ุฑุงู… ุบู„ุงุจู‡ุง

37. That they stand before the eyelids, though flies alight.
Even as if no rods of poison had been scattered in their chests

ู…ูŽู‚ุงู…ูŽ ุฌููˆู†ู ุงู„ุนูŠู† ู‚ุงู… ุฐุจุงุจู‡ุง

38. Which your swords failed to breach.
Is it true that the sheaths contain your inheritance

ูฃูจ. ูˆุญูŽุชู‘ูŽู‰ ูƒุฃู† ู„ู… ุชู†ุชุซุฑ ููŠ ุตุฏูˆุฑูู‡ุง
ุฃู†ุงุจูŠุจ ุณู…ุฑู ู„ู… ุชูŽุฎู†ูƒ ุญูุฑุงุจูู‡ุง

39. While hands refrain from Islamโ€”prolonged is their pulling away?
And that your blood spills in the living wastefully

ูฃูฉ. ุฃูŽููŠ ุงู„ุญู‚ู‘ู ุฃู† ุชุญูˆูŠ ุตูุงูŠุง ุชุฑุงุซูƒู…
ุฃูŽูƒูู‘ูŒ ุนู† ุงู„ุฅูุณู„ุงู…ู ุทุงู„ ุงู†ุฌุฐุงุจู‡ุง

40. While seeking it in war is fruitless?
Rise up with fury against the filth of snakes

ูคู . ูˆุชูŽุฐู‡ุจ ููŠ ุงู„ุฃุญูŠุงุกู ู‡ุฏุฑุงู‹ ุฏู…ุงุคูƒู…
ูˆูŠุจุทู„ ุญุชู‘ูŽู‰ ุนู†ุฏ ุญูŽุฑุจู ุทูู„ุงุจู‡ุง

41. If their robes are lowered from them one day.
Does the snake forgive when it meets

ูคูก. ู‡ูŽุจูˆุง ู…ุง ุนู„ู‰ ุฑูู‚ุดู ุงู„ุฃูุงุนูŠ ุบูŽุถุงุถุฉู‹
ุฅุฐุง ุณู„ู‘ูŽ ู…ู†ู‡ุง ุฐุงุช ูŠูˆู… ุฅู‡ุงุจู‡ุง

42. The palm of the unmarred hand and its fang?
Does it bring it out from its burrow

ูคูข. ููŽู‡ู„ ุชุตูุญ ุงู„ุฃูŽูุนู‰ ุฅุฐุง ู…ุง ุชู„ุงู‚ูŠุง
ุนู„ู‰ ุชูุฑุฉู ูƒูู‘ู ุงู„ุณู„ูŠู…ู ูˆูŽู†ุงุจู‡ุง

43. And clear its path despite it, unharmed its wrist?
Does it soften it until it bloodies its proboscis

ูˆูŠูŽุตููˆ ู„ู‡ ุจุงู„ุฑุบู… ู…ู†ู‡ุง ู„ูŽุตุงุจู‡ุง

44. With a palm calloused by the bites of its teeth?
And it flows down from it, not winding around its fingers,

45. Nor wounding its forearm with a bite?
Then why have the Umayyads become like the vipers

ูคูฅ. ูˆุชู†ุณุงุจ ุนูŽู†ู‡ ู„ูŽู… ุชุณุงูˆูุฑ ุจูŽู†ุงู†ูŽู‡
ุจูู†ู‡ุดู ูˆู„ู… ูŠูŽุนุทุจ ุญุดุงู‡ ู„ุนุงุจู‡ุง

46. While Mudar is pleased with its wrath?
Have patienceโ€”the ways of early Muslims were not

ูคูฆ. ูู…ุง ุชู„ูƒูŽ ู…ูู† ุดุฃู†ู ุงู„ุฃูุงุนูŠ ูู„ูู… ุบูŽุฏุชู’
ุจู‡ุง ู…ูุถุฑ ุงู„ุญู…ุฑุงุก ุชุฑุถู‰ ุบุถุงุจู‡ุง

47. To dye the night of struggle with blood.
Have patienceโ€”no error was raised from the blot

ูคูง. ุฃูŽุตุจุฑุงู‹ ูˆุฃูŽุนุฑุงูู ุงู„ุณูˆุงุจู‚ ู„ู… ูŠูŽูƒู†

48. That would transform the radiance of the two horizons into mist.
Have patienceโ€”the line of poetry does not seek

49. To compose it, nor swords to stab it.
Have patienceโ€”the Indian blade does not blunt its edge

ูคูฉ. ุฃูŽุตุจุฑุงู‹ ูˆุณู…ุฑู ุงู„ุฎูŽุทู‘ู ู„ุง ู…ุชู‚ุตู‘ูุฏูŒ

50. From a blow that reddens necks when it severs them.
Those women of yours wail at the watering places,

ูฅู . ุฃูŽุตุจุฑุงู‹ ูˆุจูŠุถู ุงู„ู‡ู†ุฏู ู„ู… ูŠูุซู† ุญุฏู‘ู‡ุง
ุถูุฑุงุจูŒ ูŠูŽุฑุฏู‘ ุงู„ุดูˆุณ ุชูุฏู…ู‰ ุฑู‚ุงุจู‡ุง

51. Over them the open air has darkened and its expanse narrowed.
Those women of yours wail at the watering places,

ูฅูก. ูˆุชูู„ูƒูŽ ุจุฃูŽุฌุฑุงุนู ุงู„ุทููˆูู ู†ูุณุงุคูƒู…
ุนูŽู„ูŠู‡ุง ุงู„ูู„ุง ุงุณูˆุฏู‘ูŽุช ูˆุถุงู‚ุช ุฑุญุงุจู‡ุง

52. Whose passionate laments topple mountains.
They are captive ladies whom no eyebrow had forbidden,

ูฅูข. ูˆุชูู„ูƒูŽ ุจุฃูŽุฌุฑุงุนู ุงู„ุทููˆูู ู†ูุณุงุคูƒู…
ูŠูŽู‡ุฏู‘ู ุงู„ุฌุจุงู„ูŽ ุงู„ุฑุงุณูŠุงุช ุงู†ุชุญุงุจูู‡ุง

53. By God, what lossโ€”where are their veils?
Their livers blaze from thirst
