For in it, Al-Zawra blossoms with joy

2. Blessed are you, O Saad, with your auspicious company
Each drop of its light radiates light

3. When from Al-Azhar came to it, spreading love
With its sincere consent and the Prophet's beloved son

4. It turned the face of Baghdad when people longed
For their gathering there, so I brought good news

5. It dawned beautifully when they greeted it
Spreading news of its bliss far and wide

6. You are the pole of piety, tirelessly striving
So yours is glory seen circling around

7. The noble one giving freely, the pride of the generous
Whose fragrance is lost amidst plenty

8. The companion of generosity, who gave freely as a child
And presided as an elder with grace

9. Rejoice in your glowing pavilion
O father of Al-Mustafa, abode of love

10. Year after year your house is graced
With messengers bringing glad tidings

11. Your sweet singer makes your everyday
Radiant with captive melodies

12. Let your club shine brilliantly
With a brilliance shaming the full moon

13. Gather in your grandfather's hall
Glory at all times, beloved refuge

14. You have performed a miracle, so make way for me
Stop, pardon me, for I have overstepped
