1. O Ahmed son of Sa'eed, you are the banner
To which the youth have resorted, though mean

2. He took the punishment from Ibn Muslima
Though the judge had ruled it, and the injustice was grave

3. Nothing remains but recklessness, if you can save him
He will be delivered, if you surrender him he's slain

4. In your hands, after God, is to undo his shackles
And on you is his rescue and dependence

5. So have mercy on the moaning of the father of girls
Whose tears on their cheeks have no equal

6. Make him in your eyes as if in your hands, he's
A fence protecting the suppliant, though flawed

7. His only crime is the time, which
Has weakened the hands of those who love the delinquent
