1. If I do not comprehend your praise
You have lost to me a hand and a bridle
١. وَأَقولُ إِن أَنا لَم أَفُه بِثَنائِكُم
ضاعَت لَكُم عِندي يَدٌ وَذِمامُ
2. As for me and the hand of Ibn Mansur together
It is as though it is said a dove and a cloud
٢. أَما أَنا وَيدُ اِبنِ مَنصورٍ مَعاً
فَكَما يُقالُ خَميلَةٌ وَغَمامُ
3. Good fortune for him, green, over which cooed
My gratitude as pigeons alight on branches
٣. نِعَمٌ لَهُ خُضرٌ تَرَنَّمَ فَوقَها
شُكري كَما رَكِبَ الغُصونَ حَمامُ
4. It suffices me of usefulness your love alone
For it is the riches not what people see
٤. حَسبي مِنَ الجَدوى وِدادُكَ وَحدَهُ
فَهُوَ الغِنى لا ما يَرى أَقوامُ
