1. A breeze came to me from those meadows
I swayed to it in life out of my wonder

2. That was only because a greeting was recognized
With which you sprinkled musk over the East and West

3. The traveling caravan heading west was diverted by it at dawn
So I said is it from the two abodes the diverted caravan?

4. My mouth will split open from the light of love for it
For it produced what it produced for you in my heart

5. And I, although I am the intimate friend, am passionate
To you from afar and from near

6. Except that if my state allowed me to devote
Myself to visiting your vast abode

7. I would stand up for it between the flags of Rayya
And the protected valley of Al-Ashaa from the sand

8. Afterwards, may life not thirst Abu Al-Hasan
For your lands, and may prosperity turn to you
