1. He saw the movement of her figure,
The willow wand took heed.
١. رَأى حَرَكاتِ قامَتِهِ
قَضيبُ البانِ فَاِعتَبَرا
2. And how the breeze strove with her,
To bring it more beauty, yet failed.
٢. وَكَم جَهِدَ النَسيمُ بِهِ
لِيُحسِنَها فَما قَدَرا
