1. From today let's make amends
And forget what's passed between us

وَنَطوي ماجَرى مِنّا

By you or me, come what may
٢. وَلا كانَ وَلا صارَ
وَلا قُلتُم وَلا قُلنا
3. And if some reproach is due
Let it be with gracious words
٣. وَإِن كانَ وَلا بُدٌّ
مِنَ العَتبِ فَبِالحُسنى
4. For just as some told of you
So they told of me untrue
٤. فَقد قيلَ لَنا عَنكُم
كَما قيلَ لَكُم عَنّا
5. Enough of estrangement and woe
You've tasted it, and so have I
٥. كَفى ما كانَ مِن هَجرٍ
وَقد ذُقتُم وَقَد ذُقنا
6. How sweet it would be to go
Back to the love we used to know
٦. وَما أَحسَنَ أَن نَر
جِعَ لِلوَصلِ كَما كُنّا
