1. Whenever we said we rested
The sheikh, the imam came to us
١. كُلَّما قُلتُ اِستَرَحنا
جاءَنا الشَيخُ الإِمامُ
2. So he blamed us, all of us, for
Withdrawal and modesty from him
٢. فَاِعتَرانا كُلَّنا مِن
هُ اِنقِباضٌ وَاِحتِشامُ
3. So he is blood in the gathering
And for us he is ransom
٣. فَهُوَ في المَجلِسِ فَدمٌ
وَلَنا فَهوَ فِدامُ
4. And in summary, the sheikh is burdensome
And peace
٤. وَعَلى الجُملَةِ فَالشَي
خُ ثَقيلٌ وَالسَلامُ
