1. She came to bid me farewell, overwhelmed by tears,
On the day of departure, when the camel driver called to depart.
2. She approached, fearful and startled,
Like a gazelle escaping from the hunter's traps.
3. She could not bear the spies' prying eyes to bid me farewell,
And the gloating of the slanderers saying "We told you so!"
4. I stood weeping as she left crying,
Walking away from me a little, then turning back.
5. Oh my heart, so much pain and burning!
Oh my time, so much injustice and hardship!
