1. O you who sleep!
The night has passed,

2. The dawn breaks,
The sun rises high,

3. Did not the remembrance of God awaken you,
Or the one who glorifies Him at dawn?

4. Why then do you not incline
Towards virtuous deeds?

5. When the remembrance stirs you,
You become burdened and remain still.

6. You waste your life fruitlessly,
When, by God, will you profit?

7. Success is for those
Of whom God says: “They have succeeded.”

8. When you face hardship,
Do not grieve, have faith,

9. Ease follows hardship,
Read on, did We not open your heart?
