1. Whoever advocates for sodomy, beware of befriending him
If you do, trust in disgrace and hellfire

2. Merchandise that no one sells but its vendor
Miserable is the merchandise, the buyer, and the seller

3. O people, sodomy has become popular today
Prevalent and widespread without objection

4. A sin that destroyed past nations before us
And the Throne shakes from it, a great quake

5. The Gardens of Eden are forbidden to the sodomite
Allah is Greater! What disobedience of the Creator!

6. I ask Allah’s forgiveness for the poetry I previously composed
Promoting sodomy in my verses to popularize my poems

7. But that is an opinion I no longer hold
Far be it from me the acts of the wicked

8. A people who, when fought, support one another
Against women, even if they are menstruating
