1. When a man reaches fifty years of his life
He has lived a most wretched existence
١. إذا مضى للمرءِ مِنْ عمرِهِ
خمسونَ عاشَ العيشةِ السيئهْ
2. And if he were to complain, time would say to him
Bear with me, for you still have half remaining
٢. وإنْ شكا قالَ له دهرُهُ
احملْ فلي عندَكَ نصفُ المائهْ
