Of the nights we connected by two eyelids
١. بسجعاتٍ قصارٍ فهْيَ تحكي
ليالي وصلِنا بالرقمتينِ
2. If the son of Muqlla sees them, he would say about them
You are the ransom for my two eyelids, my father and my eyes
٢. فإن يَرَها ابنُ مُقْلَة قال عنها
فداؤُكِ مقلتايَ أبي وعيني
