1. The clouds have overflowed with downpour
And unleashed snow that yielded no respite, O clouds!

2. And poured down such cold that I feared it would melt
From the heat of my breath, so I was the melting one

3. If an orchard in downpour could speak
It would rightly say something perceptive

4. The world silenced me, so when I came to it
Seeking rain, it rained misfortunes on me

5. Clouds are either wagons of thunder
Or snows that I've imagined as either a smiling black man or a graying old man
