1. Be love and celebration among us
And defy the slanderers and fault-finders

And we have from you prolonged questioning

Whose beauty He left to Him and beauty

4. So know that in the corners are secrets
And understand that in al-Suwayda are men

5. Who plunged themselves into ascetic perils
That prey on souls and possessions

6. They intended to destroy its wall so they built it
And came to shorten it but it lengthened

7. Souls most generous of souls to God
And strongest in might and most upright in state

8. So it walks the walk of a coy bride
And sways upon time coquettishly

9. We are a people who lives when one dies among us
Aspiring and reaching hopes

10. Live on our love and die in our disgrace
Thus, thus and not otherwise
