1. I see jurisprudence in religion as the essence of knowledge,
And by it, good livelihood and the afterlife.
١. أرى الفقهَ في الدينِ عينَ العلومِ
وطيبُ المعاشِ بهِ والمعادُ
2. In it is prayer, and in it is alms,
And in it commandments, and in it holy war.
٢. وفيهِ الصلاةُ وفيهِ الزكاةُ
وفيهِ الوصايا وفيهِ الجهادُ
