1. The living man decided to depart,
And they saddled those beauties.

2. So they confused reason when
They equipped the stallions.

3. My sighs came in succession,
And my tears flowed profusely.

4. They left me at the full moon,
Where only the howdahs remained.

5. The full moon rose, it was not
The crescent of early month.

6. Beauty descended in it until
It did not want to move away from it.

7. A bending branch, soft and moderate,
Resembling a gazelle’s neck.

8. It did not neigh except it shot
Arrows from its eyes.

9. God created the unique beauty in it,
And the perfection and beauty.

10. I bite if it wore kohl,
A mole on its waist would shine.

11. The water of youth flows
In the plains of its cheeks inclined.

12. Its saliva in eagerness is honey
Mixed with pure water.

13. The most beautiful eyes promising
Telling the adventures of a gazelle.

14. A legendary creature tied me
In love, in shackles and fetters.

15. It pastures on the prairie of wild plants,
It pastures wandering and lost.

16. His love showed me to the extent
That it told the story of my ruins.

17. The sorcerer of glances, I never
Attained any union from his connections.

18. I came to him complaining of his love,
So he turned away from me and inclined.

19. He intentionally threw himself at me
To kill me, with coquetry.

20. I said: “Is there any union from you for me?”
He said: “No, oh honorable one, no, no.”

21. I said: “Is there any livelihood from you for me?”
He said: “Leave this talk.”

22. I said: “I hope for some kindness from you.”
He said: “If it is impossible.”

23. I said: “I have no patience without you.”
He said: “Do not wish for union.”

24. I said: “I am melting from yearning.”
He said: “Melt and increase in delusion.”

25. I said: “I am dying from passion.”
He said: “Die and go in misery.”

26. I said: “Do you see any sin of mine?”
He said: “A sin that cannot be rectified.”

27. I said: “What did he say to contain
The incurable disease?”

28. So I prepared myself and said:
“The truth deserves to be said.”

29. “He who has gray hair does not love the white.
He has become an old mocking man.”

30. “The prairie of youth has vanished
And moderation has changed.”

31. “The prairie of youth vanished because of me.
The amusement has passed.”

32. “Thus, he who lives will find
The pleasure of life changes.”

33. “Thus is the life that gives men
Bitterness and sweetness.”

34. “So the young man will inevitably
Find what he feared by assassination.”

35. “Oh deprived one, if you want to live
Comfortably without any effort,”

36. “Ask Abu Sultan, you will gain
Glory and wealth with him.”

37. “He ruled all people
With might and bestowal.”

38. “He ruled the people of Syria and enemies
With bounty and affliction.”

39. “He exalted the Kabaa and Zaid’s horses
With generosity and sacrifice.”

40. “God does not see the like of him
Amongst all the creatures.”

41. “It is as if people are birds
In his presence, they became his children.”

42. “A lion taking as his dwelling
The tall pinnacles.”

43. “And a cutting sword whose merit
Was sharpening.”

44. “And clouds whose downpour
We did not lack from its pouring.”

45. “The eminent king is too proud
To be called eminent or exalted.”

46. “Oh most honorable of people in self
And most majestic in family.”

47. “Live alone in the time and wear,
Oh son of Nubahan, the glory.”
