1. Suns of lofty orbits rise
Towards these sublime squares

2. Or are they gazelles who have strayed
From the beauty of their radiant faces?

3. Gazelles of intimacy are they here
Grazing in our meadow, wandering

4. If they make a slight error
Beauty intercedes for them

5. And she who is sick with glances draws
Her gaze to her heart, spreading

6. She stood to bid me farewell when
Parting had rent the meadow, crying out

7. So I approached her to take leave
While my secret self divulged

8. She clung to my saddle strap
Weeping copious tears

9. Thanks for that farewell though
Parting is agony

10. Hands grasped hands
Ribs touched ribs

11. I shook her hand, bidding farewell
To one bidding farewell

12. And so did wrists touch wrists
And fingers touch fingers

13. I held her close in embrace
As lovers embrace lovers

14. Would that I knew if the days
Of youth and play will return

15. Why do I see life turn
Bringing joy but with sorrows?

16. The gains of days with us
Were only farewells

17. Beware, yes beware, that you
Do not tempt repute with greed

18. Whenever you plant you will reap
What you sow in haste

19. And when you compose poetry
Of the finest works

20. Do not give it to the unworthy
For praise has its places

21. And reserve choicest lines
For marvels and innovations

22. A king when he dons attire
You see his light shine forth

23. And delegations visit him
Between content and ascetic

24. Though distracted by luxury
Thankfully a unifier

25. Ocean of the world's harms
From it originate and benefits

26. A polished sword tempered
By trials and events

27. Far from all in endeavors
And hands and crafts

28. O He to whom the Lord of both worlds
Raised his value to the stars

29. I glimpsed the lightning of your munificence
So I came to you seeking refuge
