1. Faces like bright moons unveiled, radiating light,
Or morning stars rising, effulgent and bright.

2. Their beauty revealed, no veil to obscure,
Towards them incline all hearts, ardent and pure.

3. Charming gazelles, adorned with lovely graces,
Exquisite, unique, the fairest of faces.

4. Gentle, shy doe, the joy of our hearts,
Frolicking playful in meadows and parks.

5. Save for fawns, no lambs here abound,
No shepherd to watch them, no dog to surround.

6. Their glances like swords pierce hearts true,
Below their lids flashing eyes pierce hearts through.

7. In silk they are draped, veils partly drawn back,
O’er their shoulders the veils cascade, float and stack.

8. We steal coy glances, though more lie in wait,
For stolen quick glances seal lovers’ fate.

9. On their ruins I stood as dawn timidly crept,
My eyes glimpsed a light as darkness silently wept.

10. With the Pleiades I lingered like a fourth star bright,
My heart now enthralled by those stars’ magical light.

11. And if not for the pain of lovesick hearts torn,
My sorrows and grief would not thus be borne.

12. Tears overflow, flames in my heart burn,
For memories of her, with relentless yearn.

13. I pine when she’s recalled, my heart shreds and severs,
Youth’s keen devastating shafts it quivers.

14. My passions redouble when doves coo and murmur,
From branches above, their sad songs I infer.

15. How many deep sighs have escaped this sad heart?
Each one tears my ribs and my soul apart.

16. For her love I’m a buyer, my soul I lay bare,
No treasure too great her sweet love to ensnare.

17. Our nights bear witness, our passions aver,
That we cast traditions and creeds to deter.

18. Of beauty she owns: red, radiant, bright,
Jet black, dark - all glow with resplendent light.

19. To my eyes, her cheeks are roses and fruits,
Apple and rose - from her cheeks, joy transmutes.

20. When I kiss her red, red cheek, more joys summon,
Her beauty o’erwhelms me, its powers numb.

21. Both desert and town her beauty extol,
Both sated and starved, she nourishes soul.

22. A barren expanse stretched empty ahead,
Where foxes now tread and wolves are led.

23. We roamed it by day, by night journeyed on,
The milesswiftly passed ‘neath stars’ flickering shine.

24. Buffeted, rocked by the darkness and sands,
The merciless stars grant no rest in these lands.

25. Calamity’s torrents descend on our heads,
No eye finds respite in slumber’s sweet beds.

26. When we shed our robes, the gleaming sands shift,
From earth, away dance the shimmering drifts.

27. In each barren waste, they light hopes long lost,
Naught stirs but their gowns, sands and mosques.

28. Their sweet words like wares, spellbinding profuse,
Far beyond riches of words mortals use.

29. A steed pure in breed, unsullied by muck,
Free of defects, drawing all who are struck.

30. See humanity’s throngs at his doorway surround,
Some pray, some marvel,most kneel on the ground.

31. For justice he’s known, to each case gives due weight,
Dispensing with fairness, ne’er governed by hate.

32. Wealth he divides, uniting all tribes,
Garnering glory and honors described.

33. The sight of him joys, as praise joys the ears, 
He's a blade for the faith, banishing fears.
A beacon of truth, his light purified,

34. Dispersing the darkness, superstitions defied.
All who seek his help find his goodness exceeds,

35. His granting of favors sows further good deeds.
Though pens at times injure, he writes to make whole,

36. Good and ill both flow forth from his beautiful soul.
Like floods that destroy, yet nourish the land,

37. Both ruin and enrich, shape valleys and strand.
Though he errs, engulfed in life’s turbulent tides,

38. No flaw can surpass his compassion inside.
He's the eighth sphere of seven orbits divine,

39. No ninth beyond him, his glory outshines.
Sir, comfort and aid from you we seek,

40. Having left aside others, their passion now bleak.
We come so you grant us clouds when you smile,

41. Quenching our thirst as gazelles gambol awhile.
Recall how God granted the Surah's pure light,

42. The crescent moon bows to its majestic might.
Days of triumph for you have drawn nigh,

43. With auspicious stars rising in your skies.
