1. I am innocent of you, o my body
I am not in any way beholden to you

2. Nor am I a mirror of my soul in its Sufism
Even if you claimed so, o my body

3. Nor am I fair to my passionate blood
Nor to my passion that has strayed from time

4. No matter how you praise me, I have not fully
Expressed the youth that is unyielding in the soul

5. Nor about longing, raging without hope
Nor about poetry, overflowing boundlessly

6. I wronged you, even if I tried to be fair to you
And dissociated from you, even if I counted you among my dwellings

7. Did my physical self radiate a light I wander in
Or tenderness and a melody that embraced my ear?

8. As for my soul's definitions, they are remote
From all understanding, intuition and discernment

9. It is as if it was created from God's meanings
So it did not adapt, or settle down, or build

10. Or that it has not yet been created, even if it was originated
Or that it has not ceased being like a dream in revelations

11. If the good knew my benevolence, it would gift me
Above the meaning of soul and body
