1. Eid al-Adha, welcome! A new hope revives the ancient one
We have added to the sacrifice between us

2. What was once a unique treasure
We offer it before congratulations, as redemption

3. And behold, it is the era of majesty restored
In the sacred temple of love, slaughtering it

4. Nay slaughtering them, as many appear
Its illusions have ravaged us so long

5. And so excessively threatened
Malice, loathing, and all that

6. Enslaved the heedless peoples
O Eid! We have slaughtered them as guidance

7. To summon the resolute, original arrow fletchers
To those for whom sacrificing sheep was a symbol

8. And cleansing conscience was celebration
They lived by their ways, we by ours

9. Dead if we rotted subservient to them
The pilgrims roared declaring God's greatness

10. And drank deep of lasting conviction's light
This day is Muhammed's day and his scripture's

11. Amidst discord, it inspired supreme unity
And tomorrow, the brotherhood of mankind is the spirit of a law

12. Inspiring, immortalizing, martyring
Its virtues nurtured civilization to rise

13. While they were hunter and prey
Honor, O sons of Islam, your inheritance

14. And through you more honor will come
Heed the glory you neglect

15. Like a star, fading if left to wander feebly
So strive to the utmost, direct the will

16. Of conquering guides, obstructers of obstacles
And ever make the blessed Eid a new opening

17. That stimulates anew the new
