14. I'm the essence of peace, of light
Of truth and the sublime, not the lowly.

15. My bliss cannot be marred by slander
If you could see the light avenging each slight.

16. My critics admit their defeat when they see
Their stab turned back on them in the fight.

17. My soul soars above the reckless one
As if I've paid some debt that was mine.

18. The wise are not wise just for voicing wisdom
In speech without living the line.

19. My mercy is generous in forgiving sin
Even those who sting in swarms.

20. I'm like Christ who in mercy died on the cross
And rose above death to transform.

21. Transcending to principles more lasting
Than any eternal celestial design.

22. Giving his soul to grow and flow everywhere
Like the life pouring out of the vine.

23. So let detractors find all the fault that they want,
No living slanderer ever hurt me,

24. Let them sing the opposite of what they are,
To me it's enough that I mean what I say.

25. Let them boast of their honor which is a sham,
A despair so much like cowardice.

26. Let the guilty exult, I'm not vengeful,
I don't repay evil or malice in kind.

27. My heart is generosity and mercy everywhere
Despite all the cynicism and envy.
