1. A day once was when workers went unseen,
Not counted in the march of civilization.

2. Is a man's worth but his productivity?
Alive or dead, leader or led astray?

3. If eclipsed, the sun comes out again, but they
Have scaled time's bitter heights in sure ascent.

4. The people's rights they made a charity
And proudly they refused, lords and lowly.

5. But individuals won enlightenment,
