2. O you adorned with stars
Our beauties like gems

3. O you who excels in chanting
Excels like a sorcerer

4. O you who the sun yields to
In reverence of the sleepless whisperer

5. O you whose tables gleam
Like lamps

6. O you who relaxes in
Pastimes, relaxes like a conqueror

7. O you who pours advice
Like the forgiving God

8. O you who clings to purity
Like a pure dawn

9. O you who comes like Easter
Between tears and good news

10. O you who considers
The poor his brother against an unbelieving fate

11. O you who desires the dreams of the little ones
With every fleeting dream

12. What have you saved and what have you brought
In the stumbling moment

13. From each idle seat or
Each failing people

14. They fasted, and the best fast is to abstain
From their nonsense and petty affairs

15. Nations are great
Not slaves to grave sins

16. None fasts who makes fasting
A pretext for the wicked

20. The just Creator, supporter
Of countless glories

21. Blessed be the month of light
That invades the night without armies

22. Among weddings
And games and celebrations

23. And praying chanters
To pulpits and minarets

24. And Sufi ecstasies
That flowed like flowing poetry

25. Blessed you are, and may
The world rejoice gratefully in you

26. Until you return, you will come
With the triumphant Thursday

27. With love, not the sword, above
Secrets and insights

28. And you opened for Islam the treasure of glories
And prides

29. And you brought joys instead
Of sorrows and graves
