1. Poor soul, if those who betrayed you were the cheekiest,
Or if your own tribe feigned to care,

2. From every lowly quack who claims honor,
Yet only cares for personal gain,

3. Nothing distracts him but money’s glitter,
And trading your past glories for profit,

4. Around your misery they recite hypocrisy,
And pretend to be your savior,

5. Glorifying your past and future to each braggart
Who dreams only of your greatness,

6. Mocking all who dare depict the truth,
With lies and slander to obscure your plight,

7. All to gain selfish prominence, scoundrels by nature,
Wretched leadership, in hands of thugs,

8. Your kings never ruled, but were ruled,
The lowest example of slaves,

9. Who sold you for nothing, wavering,
Except their disgrace when they sold you,

10. And their kind, pillars supposedly,
Like a millstone grinding down your treasures,

11. Squandering power accused of madness,
In mind and morals, or just drunk,

12. Tempting your enemies with their ignorance,
So enemies could wreak havoc on your glories,

13. Silence fool, you are not one of us,
You know only petty, not noble ways,

14. Fraud, no, say fox disguised,
Strutting like a rooster, or crowing like a cock,

15. We are tired of empty claims carrying disease,
And schemes that mock sincerity,

16. If not for the tragedies encompassing our dreams,
Where, where is he who revived your dreams?

17. Perhaps that is the beauty of his detachment,
From selfish ambitions, only elevating you,

18. He carried your nation’s glory on his shoulders,
When sorrows rained down, he came to mourn you.
