1. O a king not by inheritance of a towering ancestry
With its forefathers when forefathers are pride

2. But of the love of his people and their choice
And the people have the right to choose

3. The king is the people's king when their leader
A king he is the traditional not the despot

4. Glowing with the blood of struggle though it may be
Peaceful and in the peace of struggle there is fire

5. They said why don't you describe the king so I said yes
Describing the king is his gallant conduct

6. He is one of his people never fooled
Never a borrowed glory he possesses

7. He cares for them and answers their affection
No discord in him nor partisans

8. Rather all of him on the day of hardship a flame
And altogether on the day of peace the cave

9. If his past is civilization and glory
To a tomorrow for him perspectives sharpen

10. The noble cub whose civilization has spread guidance
To nations and did not touch their supremacy dishonor

11. It shone in great Andalusia free
And passed and its slaves remained free

12. Inspired by its beauty and its motto
If those getting inspiration lack a motto

13. O Muhammad you were not the fifth vigilant king
Feared by despots is his majesty

14. O pioneer of favors and his rule
The gale whirled around it heroic tales

15. What can I present on your feast day of jewels
While your ruins still have effects

16. Crawling before kings is not my nature
If the negligent shouted and walked behind them

17. But to principles alone I incline to them
What dreams and poems approve

18. Live smiting parables for nations
That suffered and luck crushed them the evildoers

19. O unique one who may lose a nation
Others around him civilizations flourish
