1. I sipped my philosophy from the spring of my sorrows
And before it my bleeding heart overflowed

2. And I never stopped singing, ever abundant
As if my heartaches were not my pains

3. As if my tears were hymns that were held back
Until they flow over my sanctity in melodies

4. That Christ before the crucifixion was burnt
As I suffer my torment and execution

5. And if they envied me as if misery was an honor to me
And all the wealthy were servants in misery

6. I am the weak but the resolute against
Myself if the soul does not heed my judgments

7. Beware, beware my soul of compromising
With injustice or wallow in the prison of darkness

8. The meaning of life is a smile that never leaves it
Even if barren desolation surrounds it

9. Can I be but a symbol that grieves over
Annihilation even if I waste my years

10. They blamed the truth in my poetry and only
The truth dwelt, the loftiest of my sublime poetry

11. Never a day even if ignorantly
That life transcended above dreams

12. And that my existence, my thinking and my philosophy
Are nothing but examples from a painter's art

13. Who tasted eternity with winged colors
Above the stars and in unfading hues

14. All the beautiful is a temple for his imagination

15. Fluttering boundlessly, no limit contains it
Like the fluttering of my heart upon my growing consciousness

22. I invade as it invaded the world even if I fail
And if I am torn by the betrayal of my foes

23. My trials in my world are enough to understand them
Even if precise and did not uncover to minds

24. It is enough my feeling that the universe entirety

That I am free and did not yield to coercion
