1. O tongue of the Quran, O sun of guidance
Protected by the Most Merciful from the guile of enemies

2. Is there any language on the face of earth
That made an echo in the hearing of time

3. As you made in the world
About you, one knows nothing at all

4. So mastering you, one becomes a scholar
With you he gives legal opinions, sings poetry, and recites solo

5. And on your pillar he built his knowledge
Reporting definitive information after the subject

6. You taught people that prohibition
Is one's intellect, not what corrupts

7. And you put the noun and verb and didn't
Leave the particle uncontrolled, O master

8. You are the one who enabled tongues
That don't know the text and harm the authority

9. With you we are the ideal nation
That summarizes speech and pours forth the bounty

10. Within your folds is the most precious essence
With which the happy one sang and became impassioned

11. In clear eloquence the cave of dawn
Envied you and so the butterflies attacked you

12. We taught people guidance through you
And with you we chose the singular eloquence

13. And planted through you lasting glory
That defies the towering eternities

14. Above the breadths of space its echoes
And through you history sang and captivated

15. God did not choose you among us in vain
Nor select you for the religion fruitlessly

16. You are from Adnan, light and guidance
You are from Qahtan, self-sacrifice and ransom

17. The tongue in which God sent down
Clear proofs from Himself and guidance

18. And sweet versification, without which
The well-constructed ode would not have sung by night

19. The neighing of horses from its sounds
And ringing of the lofty minarets’ echo

20. I used to fear the youth of its enemies
But today I do not fear hostility

21. Rather I fear the youth of its ignorant ones
Who neglected virtue and abandoned righteousness

22. O guardians of authority, is there a listener
When I call to this appeal

23. This eloquence we chant with
And revive from its thrilling, captivation

24. It is the soul of the Arabs, he who protects it
Protects the soul and body through it

25. If you want an unadulterated tongue
To send yesterday honorably and tomorrow

26. Then for it choose its masters
Those who, when they speak of it, trill

27. And bring speech from its source
Shining like a pearl, adornment of assemblies

28. O vessel of religion and world together
The Qur'an suffices you for protection and performance

29. In the Arabic tongue, whose source
Is neither the sweet Euphrates nor the Nile

30. Whenever the devil of passions
Took you towards ruin, the sultan of guidance saved you
